Besides a large range of youth activities like summer camps, scout traings and youth praise services, the YMCA runs two guest houses open also for international guests.
YMCA "Schloss Unteroewisheim"
Our YMCA centre in the beautiful castle of Unteroewisheim is located nearby motorway A5 just half an hour away from Karlsruhe, Heidelberg and Mannheim. The city of Bruchsal is just 10 miles away and Unteroewisheim can also be reached by train.
Our guest house offers everything you will expect from a modern conference centre: comfortable accomodation from single rooms to family appartments (total capacity 80 beds), a range of various conferrence facilities in a pleasant ambience as well as leissure facilities like a climbing wall. Our house offers full board, all our meals are freshly cooked. We are specialist on group booking; amongst our guests are companies as well as training academies, church groups, choirs and other non-profit organisations. YMCA Youth Center Belchenhoefe
If you want to experience pure nature, the YMCA youth centre Belchenhoefe ist the best place to go! Our guest house is specialized for school classes and youth groups but also adult groups and hikers, mountain bikers etc. are welcome. The house is located in the south of the blackwood forest beneath the top of Mount Belchen on a hight of 840 metres (2755,2 Feet), just one hour drive away from Freiburg, the Swiss border (Basel) or the beautifull Alsace. Here you find everything you need for a wonderfull time surrounded by a magnificant nature. Our house with a total capacity of 80 beds provides bedrooms in different sizes with ensuite bathrooms in the two main flowrs, outdoor facilities like a volleyball court and soccer field as well as internet corner and 3 large group rooms. Hospitality is the great concern for our house wardens: All meals are freshly cooked and we try our very best to offer regional product to our guests.
Round Belchenhöfe there are lots of adventure possibilities like hiking tours on Mount Belchen or to Nonnmattweiher (a beautifull lake nearby), snowshoeing, mountain biking, a journey to the Münstertal mine, a guided tour with the Belchen ranger and so on.
